“Much Ado About” THE PROFESSOR (and that’s certainly not “Nothing” **)
About The Professor…
One option for a Biographical Introduction would be to use the Professor’s own words, captured somehow, as he complained about his friend, business associate, and decidedly lessor artist talent:
“I suppose he has his uses,” said Professor Nikolas Trifokalis. “But he’s never here and working behind that curtain when I need him. Sometimes I think he’s only useful for providing the occasional signature”.
The Professor was somewhat petulantly talking about his long time acquaintance and friend, M L Ahern - “lessor” artist, fine art gallery owner, art historian, published writer, proud parent of five, and "GPop" to countless grandkids. “Inspirations, all.”
MLA assists The Professor, with his papers & books and all things financial. The Professor’s Job-like, longtime assistant, Loft, impeccably manages the balance of administrative affairs. A rather solitary and self-conscious artist, MLA tries to remain as invisible as possible.
The Professor, on the contrary, prefers to be in the visible spotlight as frequently as possible. His drawings exhibit multiple styles, and all manner of split personalities (all benevolent) appear in his work. There are Whimsical Botanicals, Curious Interiors, Thoughtful Exteriors, and Abstractions of all sort.
“I authorized the use of my eponymous personage in several of MLA’s acclaimed story tales years ago,” declared The Professor. Even ER II and Barbara and George Bush mailed their appreciation*. But more about that later.” “No doubt,” muttered Loft.
